Bikes: Many

Understood. We all have our own needs and desires... The rest of my post was unrelated to the suspension and tire choices.

Since budget is one of your constraints, I thought the idea of a complete bike instead of a frame opens possibilities, but I know that sometimes the joy of the hunt is part of the build.

I do think to get any specific help concerning the frame choice, you need to provide one more spec. You commented about the Bad Boy Ultra and said that only the small would work for stand-over, and would likely be too short for the top tube. What virtual top tube length, or combined top tube/stem length is in your range?
