could be, yeah. to be honest, though, once i let it heal this spring it seemed to be able to handle ~12-14hrs/week just fine. the issue only cropped up again after a string of hard 16-16hr/weeks. my plan right now is to let it heal up again and try to limp through the remainder of the season and explore options like gratson or art in the fall/winter.
It sounds like a classic overuse injury. Gaps in training with big blocks on either side. Back off and smooth things out.
