Welcome, I'm not sure what the OB has for bike trails but if you get tired of riding with traffic I remember seeing a pretty nice bike trail that runs for a long time with Hwy 17 north of Williamston. It also goes in and out of the woods so it's mostly shaded.
We actually have pretty nice bike lane/trail/connector that goes from First Flight Memorial up to Duck that is 50 miles one way. It's pretty flat here but often windy.
