I've found a lot of great information here and decided if I wanted to get the most out of it I should just sign up. I'm mostly interested in off-road biking (I hesitate to call it "mountain" here in the flat spaces of DFW Texas). I rode anywhere and everywhere I could as a kid, but marriage, kids of my own, and going back to school took me out of it for years. I've just started getting back into it this past year on a piece of junk roadmaster that didn't fit right but I only put $14 into total at a garage sale plus a new seat clamp. I finally upgraded a bit today with a made in Taiwan Alpine Cycle Company chromoly with Shimano shifters for $60. I'm hoping for some great rides out of that. Based on threads I found here I was able to feel like I was making a semi-informed decision so thanks!
