I'm upgrading from sora so this should be quite a jump. I've also used my dad's ultegra, 105 and DA so hoping to be able to give a fair comparison. Not used SRAM/campag.

Love the design so far. Ergonomics seem spot on, everything very solid and stiff. Separate brake and shift levers and external gear cable routing, both of which seem much more sensible to me.
