Nope. Mid day and in bright sunlight.. I had my Edge 1000 setup the about the same as far as brightness and screen timeout goes..

Today, I will adjust the brightness levels during my ride and see how that goes.. For the 1st half of my ride I will set brightness at the mid way point on the slider and keep it set to turn off after 15 seconds. At my mid ride point I will crank the brightness to full and set it to never turn off..
