I am thinking I can do my build for ~ $3000. Pros Ti- Titanium parts, disc brakes, could take cyclocross tires, built like I want it built . Pros Santana- Already nicely put together (no work), sweet 16 wheels Light weight...not sure how much lighter the ti would be
Neg- Ti Chinese company...no proven track record, must build..did I underestimate the cost? Not 100% confident the 2 X 10 single side drive will work? Not sure how a ti fork will look on a ti frame. My front wheel is heavy. What if there are issues (I do have a custom ti bike builder her)
Neg Santana-I would like 172.5 cranks front and rear.....like the idea of single side drive...would not fit cross tire (don't think), alum- not ti.
