@ miamijim & auchencrow - ok, good to know. This gives me more reason to hang out in the girl cave - I mean the garage. I will loosen up that mounting bolt as you both recommended. Thanks for the info. I love Suntour, even have the dreaded Accushift on at least 2 bikes & it works great, but I've had this Moto sitting around waiting for parts, new bb, crankset, etc. so want it to be more period correct. I understand that Motobecane was the first French company to embrace Japanese components (less expensive at the time), in order to compete with Peugeot. So some Motos came with Suntour new.
