I had a nice commute. A bit of a late start, but okay.

Rant ahead:
My issues was with shoalers. They kept shoaling me, and it was really irritating. Shoaling is one thing, passing legitmatley and remaining faster is another. If I pass you, odds are you will not pass me again without a lot of effort. But do not scoot in front of me at a stop light then fricken dawdle. If I wanted to ride at 12 kmph I would ride with my wife. If I wanted to deal with idiot drivers I would drive. Take your place at the bike path stop sign, and wait your turn and then pass when you know you are faster and can maintain the speed (hill exceptions allowed). I was okay with the two guys who waited to pass me on their nice light bike (I was drooling over the old steel Rossin, I miss mine). They kept in front and waited their turns at lights. They also kept glancing back and were not losing me too much and we all seemed to be working hard.

I know this forum is not a location to correct shoaler actions, but I needed to vent.

I also had a tandem dump truck completely take the shoulder and pin/bottle neck me against a concrete stanchion. I had to sit and lean against the stanchion and wait for him to finally clear, I was even worried he would get me with his dump trailer. It was just an oblivious driver and meant no harm, but stay in your lane.
