Apologies for a cross post from vintage but I probably should have posted here to begin with.

I'm wondering if someone can tell me whether this is a french or swiss bb. Pictured is what I think is a 1984 Peugeot PSV10-N, but I'm not sure about that and the specs I've found on this model don't specify the BB.

I'm also concerned about the gap on the drivetrain side--is this hole supposed to be there (marked in RED)? Seems to me that it just allows grit/junk to get into the BB assembly...
