So many responses to DT shifters being a mystery to riders today. It's hard to believe that brifters have been around for 20+ years so it does make sense that those are all most people know.

I was out on my De Rosa awhile back and a couple guys that didn't appear to be cyclists in any way in a big, lifted truck said "That bike is awesome!" at an intersection.
