Yes he does but sometimes hitting potholes or bad roads in general is going to happen. Our roads in the Detroit are are in horrible shape including the 2 lane just outside of my subdivision. There's a fair amount of traffic where I live as well so avoiding debris and potholes is not always possible. That said, I have suffered no flats so far this season.
