How is a bike or a color scheme gay?

Anyway, nice bike. Pretty sure the nishiki I used to own was an Olympic, but yours is much nicer (from later in the decade, to be sure). Got rid of that one because it was way too small (first bike I bought as an adult, got it from an antique store and basically had no idea what to look for in a bike).
