Both instinctually and logically you realize that sooner or later your bicycle will in up "in the shop". Maybe it has already happen. There is no joy for a cyclist... when they don't have a bicycle.

Having a "spare", "wet weather" or extra bicycle assures a cyclist that they can always get a ride in. Acquiring a bicycle work stand, repair manual, and few bicycle specific tools will also allow you to learn to do regular maintenance on your extra bike. It's all good.
