It would be interesting to see what difference the new tyres make.
I will hopefully get out later this week on a known route and compare time and average speed. I've done only one ride of decent length since the switch, and both were in the range of what I normally see. But:

1) the conditions sucked - gusty winds throughout and rain near the end, and
2) it was one of those rides where I just didn't feel that strong from the start.

So I actually expected time and speed to be worse than usual. But we'll see when I get a more apples-to-apples comparison.
