3speed, Handling, or steering responsiveness, depends on wheelbase, fork offset and head tube angle. Bottom bracket height and tire size also slightly comes into play. Do you have those measurements to compare?

PS Generally a flat bar bike will have a longer top tube and generally a hybrid will have very conservative geometry.
