I was in what I thought was a pretty decent position heading down the back straightaway on the last lap when the pack surged over to my side, pinching me against the grass. I held my position but the guy in front of me sat up, leaving me without many options but to do the same. Ugh. Oh well, I'll race another day.
Glad they didn't take you out. It's so much nicer when there's some teamwork going on with that course so it's strung out for the last kilo. That takes a large number of people out of the finish, but they only thought they were there in the first place. Everyone turns into Cavendish in the last lap. I know my place though: Renshaw.
