Glad they didn't take you out. It's so much nicer when there's some teamwork going on with that course so it's strung out for the last kilo. That takes a large number of people out of the finish, but they only thought they were there in the first place. Everyone turns into Cavendish in the last lap. I know my place though: Renshaw.
3/4 race had 92 starters! Largest team by far was VooDoo with probably 10+. I didn't see much team tactics by them which was a bummer...I was hoping to see something unfold and maybe involve myself in it. Since my finish was scrubbed, I decided to let everyone go ahead and make a solo effort for the last bit when I saw a guy get knocked down on the finishing straight before the sprinter's bend. Turns out he had sat up and got run over/bumped off the track. I stopped to see if he was ok and all he could say was, "WTH...I sat up and was on the far left side and then they ran me over?!" He was sitting up and kept repeating that over and over in disbelief.
