Could be... would have had to be 2008, since I was in Germany in 2009. I think that was the time I'd just put on a new saddle, and it kept sliding backward on the rails despite my stopping to tighten it down as hard as it would go, repeatedly. I was getting fairly uncomfortable until finally at the sleep stop Don thought of making some shims out of soda cans, which worked like a charm. I only took those shims off a few months ago, when I got a new seatpost.

One of these times I'll make it back out to that ride again, it's a nice route. How was it?
