My understanding is that Galyans sporting goods entered a licensing deal with The North Face, which is why they are not advertised on the TNF website or widely available. Galyans blew out a bunch of inventory as they were being absorbed by Dicks last summer.

The bikes themselves are licensed through Iron Horse, the frames are the exact same Hollowpoints produced in the exact same factory as the Iron Horse product, but come with a different paint scheme and a different component spec as worked out by Galyans.
