Great commute home yesterday and into work this morning. Weather has been a littler cooler which I like. 85F going home and 70F coming in this morning. I took a short cut through a large farm. I've been wanting to explore this road for awhile. Luckily no one complained. Trying some new panniers and frame bag. So far I like them. Much smaller than my regular panniers. I think they'll work great for the summer. I'm getting hooked on commuting by bike. I got to stop buying bike stuff though!
Part of the commuting addiction is buying stuff... or so how I rationalize my love of cool riding stuff (that and the fact that I'm saving so much money by not driving)

I highly recommend some kind of mirror for anyone riding amongst and part of traffic. Helmet mirrors are the best because you can use different eye/sunglasses, and you can turn your head side-to-side to scan and view a wider area behind you.
I agree but found a really cool bar mounted mirror this year that I really love -
D+D Oberlauda Ultralight. I don't know if you can tell from the pic but it's big and the field of view is amazing.
