I was scheduled to get a saddle sore removed this week. It's been with me for about 8 months mostly because it took too long to convince my HMO that it needed to go. In the time it took for them to finally agree that it needed to be removed it (him really, I've named him 'lil Miguel) has apparently gone deep and requires I go under for surgery and considerable cutting.

I had the opportunity to discuss likely recovery with the doc the day before my scheduled surgery (they are apparently too busy to talk to patients before that ) and she felt recovery would be no less than 4 weeks off the bike.

I chose to reschedule for after the season in October/November. Miguel rejoiced by being a bit annoying this week.
