It could have been an easy fix except its the geared side with a left hand thread!

Anybody know of a LH helicoil? I figure somebody on here would know if it existed.

I never had anything like that happen. I had recently removed the pedals for inspection and threaded them back in with no problems. I did find the bearings on the BB were worn out and had just replaced them when the pedal stripped out.

Bike is a Diamondback overdrive 29er.
