Whichever you prefer - it's a fine surface for either, though some root damage and an occasional hole (all well marked) in some spots. Get out early in the morning for a quiet serene ride. Mid-day will be more crowded (perhaps much more because of the holiday), but the nice thing about mid-day there's enough foliage canopy that there's a bit of refuge from the sun. Evening rides might be a bit buggy, more annoying than anything else (unless you flat).
