The first week I starting riding, I had two squirrels literally jump into my spokes and bounce off 1-2 feet backwards. They were dazed, but both ran off. Since then, I've ridden directly at them, allowing them to either go left or right and save their lives. Have yet to smash one. Both times prior I would go to one side and the dummies would always slam into my spokes.
