I took out a little birdie once. Riding a back-country highway, no shoulder. I notice this little bird just right of the line. I kept watching him, waiting for him to fly off. I guess he was looking the other way, because he hopped up right into my path as I passed. Squish. Felt kinda bad about that one. I kept thinking about George Costanza. I thought we had a deal?!?
I've clipped a couple of squirrels over the years, but they seem to dart away in relatively good health. There are lots of rabbits on my morning commute. They make me nervous because they always scatter in every direction when you approach.
