Thanks again. I looked at some earlier catalogs and they had the Special going back to 1976 with the same paint job: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgar...531Special.jpg Also, the 1983 catalog talks about nylon underbracket guides and shows similar Tt guides? Were there copies of Holdsworths made (like the ibanez fender guitars?)

If it wasn't for the bb serial number, I'd definitely be claiming a late 70s early 80s Special!
