someone really needs to take comparative photos of the right vs wrong way to attach the cable clamp on shimano FDs, then pin a sticky topic on it

its often counterintuitive and also very difficult to describe in text
no camera here, someone else will have to oblige



i'm assuming this isnt a limit screw or siezed cable issue


ok i'll try
so next to the cable anchor bolt you see a bent tab
lots of people think the tab is to keep the cable tucked beneath the bolt, so they route the cable inbetween them
actually the tab is just a cable routing guide, the cable should go above/outside of tab, the fold over it and get clamped by bolt
