Ah, the myth of dirty white bar tape...


Hint- stop buying crappy bar tape.

Synthetic 'cork" tapes (EVA plastic) will all become discoloured regardless of colour. Synthetic leathers (pleathers), will not. Having said that, ALL bar tape will become burnished with long term use. Consider that a badge of honour as it can only be earner with time in the saddle.

As to gloves, this is an issue with some gloves. I've even had stains on my hands because of this. I no longer wear gloves unless I am in a race or riding in a group of three or more.
