I stand up and walk around for a minute or two every 30 minutes. I also do the "gas pedal" ankle movement 4-5 times a day. The doctor wants my brace to remain locked in full extension until I see her on the 12th, so there's not much else I can do for the next several days. Hopefully she will allow me to adjust the hinge so I can start bending my knee.

Thanks for mentioning KNEEguru. I've actually been reading and posting on the KNEEguru website since the day I got injured. They are full of useful information as well as empathetic and helpful members.

Just curious, how long did it take you to be able to get on a real bike, if not with clipless pedals?
Good to see you already having a good start on the recovery. Unfortunately I won't be able to tell you how long it took me to get to a real bike because it was 3 years ago and I didn't pick up cycling until 1.5 years ago.

I was able to ride a stationary bike in about 5 months when my range of motion approached 90 degree. My progress was slow due to poor physical shape prior to the injury and other complications. Thinking back I should have talk to my PT to see if she could arrange a stationary bike with shorter crank arms so that less range of motion is required -- that would have allowed me to get on it earlier.
