Getting caught out in a thunderstorm can range from exhilarating to terrifying. I know in some parts of the country storms can spring up pretty suddenly, but I always try to watch the radar and hourly forecasts and charts before I set out, and each time I go in somewhere (store etc) so I know to wait there or hurry up and get riding. Weather.gov... very useful site!

this was our first time so i think it bordered on terrifying for us. and this is our first houston summer and apparently late afternoon storms are a ritual thing. looks like we'll just have to do our best.
