Good luck with riding again. I was a decent runner at one time and achilles problems kept me off the road running scene and I retreated to the couch and free weights. Tried biking and am in my sixth week and have gone from 208 to 190. Hopefully I will keep dropping weight. My hope is that you too will drop the weight and be back on the road to a happier and healthier lifestyle. You probably know this already but what I found is after biking I did not want to eat crappy food and my diet got better quick.
