So the seat post clamp on the bike I just rebuilt doesn't seem to hold tight enough. I've tightened it as best I can (it's hard to get anything around the nuts because of how close they are to the seat stays) but i've been using 2 wrenches at once. and the big rounded part on the nut keeps a torque wrench from seating on it solidly.
But during my ride the seat slowly lowers as I hit bumps with my weight on it. and even off the bike I can twist it. could it be metal fatigue of the actual seat tube? do i need to try and tighten it further?
is there another solution?
