I'm a professional assembler of the Denalis- haven't seen the Road Tech yet but then I haven't looked at all the boxes that arrived yesterday and I was off today so I couldn't- and I third or fourth or whatever we're up to the strong suggestion you look at the used market. Also, don't let the term "mountain bike" scare you off. The wider tires will handle the abuse of potholes, grates, and gravel better and be more forgiving when encountering glass and other street/bike lane detritus than road tires will and, as someone else mentioned, you can get a lot more bike for the money.
