If you can't turn it, it might be because of corrosion due to some sweat working it's way in. Soak it well with an oil made fro freeing frozen hardware, such as Kroil, or PB blaster. People have also had success using a home brew of automatic trans fluid, thinned to the consistency of gin with acetone.
