The frame is set up for a FD that has a housing stop. A loop of housing runs from a stop on the down tube to the FD. You can run housing from the stop on the DT under the BB to a FD with no stop, but it will look like crap, IMO. I would do it only as a temporary kludge until I could find a FD with a stop.

My Gitane, Peugeot and Jeunet al have front derailers with stops, but it's not just a French thing.
