Head tube on the CLX is about 17 mm shorter so you'll end up with a larger saddle to bar drop unless you run more spacers or increase the stem angle. Some would argue that if you really want the additional stack height, you should select a frame with a more relaxed geometry.
I really appreciate the information. It helps more than you know. I have gotten tripped up on the geometry of this bike for some reason. I have researched the heck out of this next bike purchase and have probably gotten to a point of over thinking it based on every story that I read. In the end, it is just a bike. If it does not fit, I can sell it. I am purchasing the frameset new for $1498. They only have 59cm and 52cm for that price, which is a steal.
I looked at a Colnago in a bike shop while out of town a few months ago. The guy told me that he would put me in a 59. All that he had in his shop were 54's though so I could not hop on one.
For the price, it is worth it. I think that my LBS will be able to fit me on this one once we piece it together. It will be interesting to see if the Bike, which is coming from Colorado, will get here before my wheels, which are coming from PBK in Europe. My Ribble orders usually take about 2-2 1/2 weeks to arrive. Hopefully the wheels and tires will be about the same as I ordered them on Monday that just past. come to think about it, my seat is arriving with them as well. It would be hard to look at that frame and not ride it right away, especially since somebody just bought my Felt road bike 2 days ago. I guess I will have to ride on my hybrid or mtb until then.
