The bike shop I did stop at after the ride, (a Pinarello dealer), said that the evening rains cooled things off. Only got into the upper 80s by the time I got back at 11:00. It's a beautiful ride on a nicely paved road. Nice and wide. Not much debris either. I think I did the ride in the opposite direction than you suggested. Not sure it was the easier way, but seems like it....
Oops! Darn. Way too late. I had you staying after the conference, instead of arriving early...
Actually, the way you went is the way I go, except I start at what would be W Flamingo/ S Town Center area. Your route and mine would join at the end of Sahara at Desert Foothills, and continue out to the Canyon. Being a relative newbie, and not yet a strong rider, I would turn around after Red Rock and come back (grin) I only suggested the other way because you were so far south. Your direction indeed could be easier-they are both uphill to Red Rock, but the way you came is a more gradual ascent.
Always a lot of cyclists out there, no matter what day, but Saturdays and Sundays are really something. And yep, a lot of us women really enjoy cycling here.
In any event, glad you enjoyed it, and yes, you lucked out on the weather!
