Here we go again. I spoke too soon yesterday.

Three times today, this happened again. New chain, new Derailleur.

Narrowed the scenario down.

Rear cassette - 4 rings up from the smallest.
Front Chainring - Largest.

I drop the front chainring to the smaller. The derailleur pushes the chain down to the small ring, but the chain seems to hang on the bottom of the big ring, and is pulled back up to the derailleur.

I'm thinking it HAS to be the front chainrings.

Any idea the cost for new ones? Can I just replace the sprockets or is it the whole crankset?

Riding is NOT fun now. I have to look down when I drop the front so make sure it does not climb. This makes me lose a ton of momentum also. I was ready to put it in a ditch and report it stolen
