I have a 2005 trek road bike with ST-4400 shifters and large ergo bars. I know shimano changed their shifter ergonomics in the next generation after mine. That was about the time bikes started coming equipped with compact handlebars. I am thinking about replacing my handlebars, possible with a compact handlebar. Would my ST-4400 shifters fit properly on compact bars? Thanks!
