Fezzari Wasatch peak 29er?

I am thinking about getting my first mountain bike for trail and dirt road riding. The Fezzari Wasatch peak 29er has cought my attention as a great value for the components you get.

Is the Fezzari a solid choice for $1000 or is there better choices in the hardtail 29er MTB world?
