Congrats on a nice find. A Black Lightning is the only bike that would make me try aluminum.
I also have a 1990 Cannondale Criterium (with a carbon fiber fork) and a 1998 Fuji Team (with a carbon fiber fork). The rest of my bikes are steel, but I don't find anything that harsh about the aluminum frames. Maybe it's just me.....
