Most of my workouts during the week are done on the trainer. With after work traffic, I just can't get in most of my workouts on the road.
I specifically moved to an area that was more bicycle friendly. Its not Portland, but for SoCal its one of the better cycling towns. A lot of people drive out here from other towns just to cycle.
My old neighborhood was a cycling death trap.
