Let's see, their very first statement said that Contador's bike wasn't broken
at all. That's obviously not true. Either their information was terribly wrong or they were lying.
They followed that up by saying that Roche's bike was the broken one, not Contador's. Again, bad information or more lies.
Later the story changed to Contador's bike being "run over". More bad information and/or lies. Granted, this one is actually reasonable. I can see how "being hit on the roof rack" could have changed to "run over" in a game of telephone.
