I have just gotten into biking, and I need some info to help to decide on what type of bike to purchase and where.
I'm planning on purchasing a bike to ride in the streets of NYC during the summer(A few miles every day) and to bring along with me to college in Indiana (huge campus with hills). First question is, should I get a hybrid or a road bike? (I'm 6'2).
Next question is if i should get a new bike online/in my local bike store, or should I surf craigslistNYC for a good quality bike. My Budget is max $400.
Any recommendations on brands/models to shop for?
I've seen a number of bikes on craigslist in good condition that retailed for quite a bit, that are now $2-300.
