Yes, it's done all the time. So the OP can source the film, struggle to get a nice tight bundle (takes practice) and pay a premium for shipping (except by USPS, which will usually be costlier),or he can visit a bike shop, and take a box out of the waste stream and give it a second life, all for free.

His call.
