Thanks for the response. I do indeed use my bike for touring. Just did an 83 mile trip on Thursday & am planning a longer trip for Monday, the week after I'm doing a round trip to Delaware Water Gap PA, 100 miles each way. Good point about the Campy's parts availability. I was actually leaning towards Deore XT but was told by a local vendor that I couldn't get XT for my bike. The Deore LX I have is adequate, but I could imagine better.
