Many thanks for your comments. I already have a Chameleon and have owned a Joey but the Moulton is another ball game I feel.
I felt really sorry for the chap selling as he told me he had wanted a Moulton all of his life and at sixty-six bought this one. However having had it a month he developed something wrong with his foot which caused him intense pain when pedalling.
He had had all sort of treatment but with no improvement so felt he had to sell....really sad, so I blew my nose and ran away with the bike.
Now I have to reduce the width of the bars, fit Ergon grips, Koolstop blocks, get rid of the adjustable stem and the Rubber Brooks saddle and fit a Berthoud Aspin and mudguards. I may have to shorten the Steering tube and I think replace the Chain-set for one which lower the gears as 106" is a bit useless for someone my age. I'm gong to check the spoke tensions and even these up if necessary.
Looking forward to it all.
