Uh, I'll couch-quarterback this one: I might have hesitation on the Cannondale only for: potential issues of what shops can/will service it. One national sports retailer that has a great mechanic cannot work on my son's Cannondale, so he is trying a different large LBS here hoping to secure a good mechanic. Second: seems the BB30's are a little finicky, sometimes developing clicks, and if installed wrong, apparently you get a more permanent clicking even with a new one re-installed.
I have no experience with similar Trek issues. Sure wish I had your problem trying to decide. I think I would go Trek with the ISOSPEED thingie in the frame if the bike fit was equal.
My first bike was a Alu Cannondale and when shoping for my first carbon bike I went Trek all the way because I was able to get their Trek Care Plus, which I wanted with my first venture into Carbon. I tested the Domane just to see how it is and I loved the bike. Didn't feel dead or removed from the road. I ended up getting a Madone as I race but I would love to have Domane in my collection for grand fondos and century/doubles.
