My first frame pump, I bought in 1984, with my first real touring bike. Up to day all my frame pumps have been a compromise of a floor pump. Taking too long, painfull at high pressure and never fully reaching your desire pressure.
My latest frame pump is a Topek road morph. It's the best frame pump I have owned to this day. Not perfect or substitute for a floor pump, but it's the first pump that gets the job done, without requiring second pump from the floor pump. What I mean, it gets to the desire pressure with relative little pain. Still takes a longer time than the floor pump of course and the build in gauge is not as accurate, but accurate enough IMO.
Having said that, I wish I would have bought the Lezyne mini floor pump. I think it's a better build (aluminum vs mostly plastic), shares a bottle cage holes for carry on the frame vs taking over a bollte cage all together, and it's a better pump overall I think. Can't speak for the build in gauge since I haven't tried it my self.
